Genesis Financial Partners is now part of Certe

Demand for strategic financial advice among Certe's corporate clients and their employees was steadily rising. Many were looking for convenient access to high quality advice on insurance, superannuation, investing and retirement planning from someone they trusted.

Partnering expanded the breadth and depth of services available to both Certe and Genesis clients.  It also provided greater career development opportunities for the talented senior staff at Genesis and created a path for Managing Director Phil Robbins to step back from day-to-day management.

The Certe and Genesis ethos closely matched, ensuring the combined business could move to the next level without compromising their commitment to take care of clients and staff.

Both businesses began operating as Certe in October 2024.  The merger completed in March 2025. 

Genesis became Certe in October 2024.

Key documents were transitioned from the Genesis name to Certe from this time.  You may still see Genesis listed as your adviser on policy documents and account summaries until late 2025.  

If Genesis was the adviser for your insurance policy, superannuation, or investment account, it’s important to know that the merge did not change your:

• Investments
• Insurance
• Administration fees
• Account details (including any beneficiaries and authorities)
• Pension payment amounts and frequency (if applicable)
• Defined Benefit entitlements (if applicable)
• Policy / account numbers

There was also no impact on open insurance claims.

You continue to have access to the same people, products and services you know and trust.

There has been no change to your existing policy or account numbers.

Genesis previously serviced your financial planning needs as an authorised representative of Madison Financial Group, an Australian financial services licensee (AFSL 246679). In January 2024, to align with Certe, we moved from Madison Financial Group to Fortnum Private Wealth (AFSL 357306).

Fortnum is now the licensee responsible for our financial product advice and has access to your personal and financial information.

There was no impact on current or in progress insurance claims due to the merge.

We will continue to manage any claims on your behalf, and there will be no interruption to the claims management process or the contacts you have at the insurer or had with Genesis.

The merger had no impact on any cover offered as part of a Group Insurance Plan.  The only change was that Certe now administer and manage your policy on your behalf.
